Minutes of September 2004 Volunteer Meeting

 

The first meeting of 2004-2005 was held 9/20/04 at Bethesda Senior Center.

 

The board was over whelmed by the response.  22 people were in attendance, and readily accepted to be venue managers.

 

Duties of venue managers were discussed.

 

The games for 2005 will open on Thurs. 4/14/05 and close on Thurs. May 5/12/05.

 

Opening and Closing will be the same as last year.

 

Fee for entry will be $10 and a $5. fee will be imposed if application is received after deadline.(This date will be announced later)

 

We have made charitable contribution to Gwinnett Children's Shelter (Tour of Homes, Braselton) and purchased a wagon for Children's Hospital, Atlanta.

 

We are looking for help in soliciting donation and/or door prizes.  Contact Eileen and we will give  you a form letter to present. 

 

Wal-mart, our first donation this year, $250.

Next meeting, Oct. 18, 10 a.m.  All venue managers and all interested parties will need to attend.  At the next meeting we will try and firm up dates and times. Need to do this so we can get the 2005 Games Brochure to the printer.
