Gwinnett Senior Golden Olympics 2007

Meeting Minutes 1/15/07

Our President, Al Sandham, called the meeting to order. Our secretary was absent from the meeting so today Eileen, our treasurer, read our last month’s minutes, and her treasurer report. The minutes were approved by Susie and Charles.  The treasurer’s report was $5,585.34.

New business:  Our new registration book will be ready for distribution by the second week of February. Also, elections will be held this year. Ballots will be mailed out and voted on at our May meeting. Board members must serve 2 years and must be committed to attending all meetings.  All members are eligible to run for any board positions.

We hope everyone will be excited about our new menu. Longhorn Restaurant will provide food for our Opening and Closing Ceremony; steak and chicken at opening.  Various breakfast casseroles will be served at closing; this will be a full breakfast as opposed to a continental one we have had in the past.  Both meals will include a variety of trimmings.

Gifts this year will be a First Aid Kit and a logo pin for all members.

Doug is making PVC frames for our football and Frisbee toss, the hoops were too flimsy.

Letters were sent out to Gwinett Hospital Systems and Home Town Bank for their donations.  Colors for t-shirts were voted on, 1st choice was red, and the 2nd sage green.  Golf shirts will be provided to venue managers, no color decided yet.  Doug Jones has received a donation from PGA & Golf Store.  Each athlete entering golf and tennis venues will receive a $25 gift certificate.

The meeting was adjourned by Susie Dodson and was seconded and approved by Charles Eubanks..

Minutes were read, approved and sent to our web page for posting.
