Description
Georgia Golden Games Our goal is to provide the opportunity for all men and women 50 and over to participate in a social, competitive, recreational, and athletic event. The Golden Games:
1. Creates an awareness of the abilities and capabilities of older adults.
2. .Helps to maintain and improve health and wellness.
3. .Promotes an interest in lifetime sports, recreation and physical activity.
Metro Atlanta Senior Softball League The Gwinnett-Dekalb Seniors Softball, Inc. (GDSS) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1992. The Gwinnett County and Dekalb County Senior Softball associations merged at that time in order to form an organization that could better promote senior softball participation in the metro Atlanta area. The GDSS then established the Metro Atlanta Senior Softball League (MASSL), under which its members could participate in organized senior softball league play.
Gwinnett County Senior Center The Gwinnett Senior Center is a 16,500 square foot recreation facility which offers two arts and crafts rooms, game room (complete with two pool tables), lounge area, lending library, a conference and meeting rooms, and a large multipurpose room accommodating up to 350. Amenities include a large patio, horseshoe pits, Shuffleboard and Pingpong, a small scenic lake with a walking trail and the SeniorNet Computer Learning Center.

          The purpose of the Gwinnett Senior Center is to provide a center of activity with a caring and supportive atmosphere that will bring social, recreational and educational opportunities to the daily lives of the senior population (age 50 and over) of Gwinnett County.

          The Senior Center offers classes in arts and crafts, exercise, line dancing, bridge, tap dancing, clogging, computer training, and much more! Also a variety of trips and special events are planned monthly just for seniors.

Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation The mission of Parks & Recreation is to provide quality parks and leisure activities to the citizens of Gwinnett County.

        Operations runs all of Gwinnett County's recreation programs and in 2001 offered 2,131 classes, summer camps and special events. In keeping with its committment to serve EVERY resident, the department offers programs for people of all ages and interests. So whether you're interested in taking a yoga class, learning how to make pottery or joining in a pick-up basketball game, Parks & Recreation has something for you.
